Why be a Guide?
Guides offers a non-competitive all-girl environment. We seek to build self-confidence, community spirit, and practicality in our girls - all while having fun of course!
| Leadership
Guides provides girls with unsurpassed opportunities to develop excellent leadership skills. Patrol Leaders and Seconders are responsible for organising a group of 5-6 girls for all activities, such as outdoor cooking, fundraising, construction etc. They must pass on their skills, and build a strong patrol team.
|
 |
| Teamwork
At Guides, girls learn to work as part of a friendly team. Their patrol is made up of girls from different schools, ages and backgrounds, and the girls learn to work together and have fun at the same time!

 |
| Skills
Guiding knowledge is about being competent and practical in a variety of situations. We learn First Aid, knotting and lashings, life-saving and many other emergency skills. In addition, girls can learn public speaking and gain excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.

| FRIENDS AND FUN!
But what really attracts girls to Guides? Having FUN! At Guides you will make life-long friendships, as well as get to try all sorts of activities! For the adventurous - try abseiling and windsurfing. For the creative - try glass-painting. And then there's jelly games, ice-blocking, making go-karts, dressing-up and MUCH MORE!
